Sacmi technology for the production of beverage caps, from 10th to 12th August at the international plastics fair
With CCMs (Continuous Compression Moulding machines), high output performance, reduced energy consumption, no injection point, real time quality control, fast colour changeovers, economical size changeovers, versatility, fast user-friendly maintenance and outstanding repeatability are just some of the advantages provided by compression technology in the production of closures for mineral water, fruit juices, teas and CSDs etc.
This technology will play a starring role at Sri Lanka Plast, the International Plastics Exhibition being held in Colombo from 10th to 12th August at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre, and will be presented by Sacmi at Stand n? 35 A, which covers nine square metres.
Taking centre-stage will be the extensive range of presses (24, 32, 48, 64 and 80 cavities depending on all the final customer's output requirements), new solutions developed by the Group in the compression-made cap field in keeping with international standards and customers' needs and wants. A comprehensive range of closure systems is available in both the one-piece and classic two-piece cap versions. These products - characterised, as always, by innovative design and outstanding performance - are aimed at the main large-scale markets.
Also an occasion to get to know the new injection-type PET preform production systems, thanks to the innovative IPS: this latest press from Sacmi is characterised by system flexibility, rapid size changeovers, outstanding ergonomics, energy savings, reduced overall dimensions and a worldwide sales and after-sales services network. The Colombo-held international plastic fair also highlights the local plastics industry market in which some 400 companies operate, both internally and abroad, and illustrates further opportunities offered by the nearby markets.
Sacmi aims to play a pivotal role in this dynamic area and continue building on its success with compression caps, already widely appreciated by major bottlers and marketed extensively. The range, in fact, is nothing less than vast, covering all the specific conditions and characteristics encountered in the various geographical areas and ensuring excellent final product performance wherever required.
