The Olma Messen St.Gallen is of great economical importance for the Gallusstadt. It also offers identification for the area, for the textile tradition, the educational institutions, the traditional football club, and the famous roasted sausage. Trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conventions, and special events bring 700,000 people annually into this area.
