Founded on September 29, 1930, the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers (IMCh) is on of the most prestigious and valued representative institutions in the country's mining industry.

It mostly gathers mining engineers, although it also enrols other professionals working in the mining sector such as metallurgists, chemists, and commercial engineers, among others.

Its mission involves tightening links among professionals that work in mining in order to promote the mining sciences and arts.
