Applications
Orthotics/Prosthetics:
Custom-making of artificial limbs or body part replacements
The limb to be fitted is scanned, and the data acquired is transferred into computer-assisted design (CAD) applications for design, measurement, rectification, retrofitting, and production purposes
Loaded/unloaded 3D digital impressions (foot imprints).
Cranial scans:
For the treatment of positional plagiocephaly in infants: non-contact and quick measurement of the skull for digital manufacturing of soft shell therapeutic helmets and follow-up on the treatment.
Plastic/aesthetic surgery:
3D scanning of body parts (ear, hand, foot, nose) in order to produce a perfectly fitted and exact match prosthesis or reconstruction.
Podiatrics:
3D scanning of the feet/toes/ankles for the manufacturing of customized podiatric orthesis or apparel.
