CHALLENGE
Avoiding pigment clumping, saving water, energy and time - EDW pigments
One of the main challenges is that the microscopically small pigment particles stick together like tiny magnets. To disperse them evenly in the paint, several steps like e.g. milling are required, using up a lot of energy as well as water and time.
SOLUTION
A new series of organic pigments which are easily dispersible in water the EDW pigments
EDW pigments have a modified surface treated with special additives to avoid clumping.
They can easily be dispersed with a dissolver without the milling step in a shorter time.
EDW pigments improve the eco footprint of paint manufacture. |
