The WGT gear measuring machines are based upon on the proven concept of WENZEL 3D coordinate measuring machines. The high-grade granite technology, fast reacting servo drives with, precise air bearings and high resolution scales turn a gear measuring machine into a WGT and hence into a durable partner in gear measuring technology and quality assurance.
Innovative sensor technology for gear metrology
The WGT 280 measuring machine is equipped with the SP600M scanning probe from Renishaw. With this probing system very small surface details can be measured precisely.
The WGT gear testers can be equipped with fully automated change racks, so that the optimal probe configuration can easily be used for every measuring task. The SCR600 change rack allows the fully automated and repeatable change between different styli configurations so diverse gearings with different modules can easily and quickly be measured in one measurement procedure.
Optimized CNC controller for accurate measurement according to gearing principles
To completely fulfill the demanding requirements of gear metrology WENZEL developed the Geco CNC control. It guarantees optimal 4-axis-measurement and precise scanning. For geometrically precise machine movement the machine compensation is carried out in real time and wobbling of the part is compensated in real time.
