According to the recent In-Stat research, enterprise spending on cloud computing, wireline voice and data, wireless and business IP/VOIP will pick up and post six percent growth in 2011.
"There will be positive growth across all 20 verticals with education and healthcare and social services leading the surge with growth of 10 percent and nine percent respectively," stated Greg Potter, analyst at In-Stat. "These increases in spending are across all product groups except wireline voice, which will decline by about half a percent."
The research titled "Enterprise Markets for Telecom Services: Wireline Voice, Wireline Data, Wireless, Cloud Computing and VoIP in 20 Verticals" forecasted that enterprise spending on public cloud computing services is set to increase 139 percent from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, a boost in spending for wireless data and healthcare sector wireline data will climb to $17 billion in 2015 and two billion dollars in 2014, respectively. However, enterprise spending on wireline voice will remain flat, with traditional TDM services continuing their decline, only reaching $3.4 billion in 2011.
