The CareFacilities Expo is making its debut at Sydney Showground, Homebush on Friday May 20-22, 2016, and will be displaying the latest products and services for at-home and facility care for the elderly and disabled.
From innovative healthy eating solutions to the latest in robotics, CareFacilities Expo will swiftly educate delegates on the latest medical devices and services that, with an ageing population, are now more important than ever.
Managing Director of Fair Events, Gary Fitz-Roy, says the expo will present a range of topics that will answer the common concerns about what the care demand will look like in the future and how the industry will keep up.
The event comes at a time in Australia's healthcare journey where the both the ageing population and the notion of empowering patients to take more ownness of their care plan is putting increasing pressure on facility and home care products and service providers to deliver affordable solutions, fast.
"The demographic wave is starting to move through the industry as Baby Boomers retire and begin to engage with all types of aged care services.
"With limited budgets and the on-going need to provide the best service in resident care, visitors will find out how the industry is looking to new technology in order to meet the Boomers's higher expectations," says Mr Fitz-Roy.
CareFacilities Expo anticipates the purpose of all attendees will be to see how what is on offer can be beneficial to their care services, so has introduced Spotlight presentations. These short and sharp educational talks will provide information on topics such as; new food for the aged and infirmed, re-enabling residents in aged care facilities, health and safety risks in the living environment and robots in aged care.
For managers and developers of aged and disability care facilities, retirement villages and home care service providers the expo is free. It promises to provide healthcare workers with the opportunity to explore different ways to grow their businesses and implement new services, by connecting them with the leading suppliers of products and services targeting the care, disability and allied service industries.
"We have worked hard to align the expo with the General Practice Conference & Exhibition, as we understand healthcare workers have limited availability and endeavour to provide them with the opportunity to network and stay abreast of the latest innovations set to take the healthcare industry into the trying next decade," Mr Fitz-Roy says.
