formnext: Messe Frankfurt to organise own trade fair for tool-making, mould-making and additive manufacturing technologies

Frankfurt remains leading trade fair centre for this pioneering technology
First event scheduled for November 2015

Messe Frankfurt is organising its own trade fair for tool-making, mould-making, design, product development and additive manufacturing technology. formnext will be held for the first time between 24 and 27 November 2015 on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds.
This means that Frankfurt will remain the trade fair centre for the sector.

Uwe Behm, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt: "Working together closely with the sector, Messe Frankfurt will launch formnext - a trade fair that will meet the needs of our exhibitors. The fair will be the international business platform for the sector and will act as a catalyst for technological progress."

Sector representatives have always stressed the advantages of Frankfurt as a trade fair centre. Behm: "Messe Frankfurt is the ideal organiser for an annual international sector event like this. We have extensive specialist know-how at our disposal and demonstrate this every day. The company will also activate its worldwide network of 28 subsidiaries and over 160 sales partners in order to position formnext successfully.

Messe Frankfurt is one of the world's leading trade fair organisers, generating around €545 million in sales and employing some 2,000 people worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries and around 50 international Sales Partners, allowing it to serve its customers on location in more than 150 countries. Messe Frankfurt events take place at more than 30 locations around the globe. In 2013, Messe Frankfurt organised a total of 113 trade fairs, of which more than half took place outside Germany.

Comprising an area of 578,000 square metres, Messe Frankfurt's exhibition grounds are home to ten exhibition halls. The company also operates two congress centres.

The company is publicly owned, with the City of Frankfurt holding 60 percent and the State of Hesse 40 percent.
