AMB 2014: Hydraulic power pack for test applications

With its speed-controlled motor the HK type power pack from HAWE Hydraulik is a good choice for test applications.
HK-type compact power packs from HAWE Hydraulik SE, Munich, enable the implementation of very exacting power controls for test applications. For the purposes of this application the power pack is fitted with a radial piston pump that is powered by a speed-controlled motor and combined with a programmable logic valve control, type PLVC.
The power pack can build up pressure so gentle that a constantly increasing force is exerted on the test kit over a very long time; even extending over a couple of days. Given a skillful system layout, pressure builds up with an exactness of less than one bar. Radial piston pumps are particularly well suited for this as they are not limited in their minimum speed, unlike other pump types. They can even operate at rotational speeds of 1/sec. Such a system is highly efficient and has a negligible heat input.
The speed-controlled version of the HK makes the hydraulic power pack also ideal for load-independent power build-up at pre-defined velocity sequences. Where a very precise speed control is required, the recommendation is for feedback to be provided via a position sensor system. |
