Scm Group will be at the Internationale Holzmesse in Klagenfurt (Austria) to be held between September 4 -7 showcasing new solutions for the timber building sector.
The Austrian wood industry market is particularly positive and boasts the largest manufacturers of semi-finished and finished products for the production of prefabricated houses and Glulam structures for large-scale public and private buildings. The exhibition, which has long been a traditional meeting point for sawmill industry operators, has recently begun to focus on the timber construction segment, which has been experiencing steady growth.
In recent years Routech at SCM Group has been offering various applications for this segment and has developed new machining concepts that offer users flexibility, precision and 6-sided complete machining.
The latest system versions enable users to carry out complete machining operations for roofs, wall elements, garden sheds, pergolas, X-LAM/CLT Glulam structures, straight, curved and rounded trusses, one-off pieces, roof insulating panels and any type of new structural elements requested by the market.
The success of Routech's solutions is confirmed by the growing number of installations worldwide, with 30 systems up to date - of which 25 are Oikos.
OIKOS is the high-tech solution for modern joineries, ready to invest in new machinery. It is an advanced solution that supports the widest range of machining operations both for beams and wall elements with maximum length up to 1,250 mm, maximum thickness of 300 mm and variable length. Its main characteristic is the fact that it is equipped with an automatic 6-axis CNC system complete with tool changer and a single machining head, which guarantees a simple, rational and extremely flexible layout.
AREA is the dedicated gantry-based solution for X-LAM-CLT wall elements and basically large-size components for automatic 5-sided machining, such as large Glulam beams. The system can be customised to carry out machining operations also on large-size and laminated insulating panels. Area is also fitted with an automated 5-axis machining head and a tool changer.
Machining dimensions vary from 3,200 mm to 4,500 mm width, with thickness of up to 360 mm and length of up to 50 m.
Oikos and Area's machining areas are fully enclosed and equipped with safety devices for the operator's maximum comfort. |
