KOMMA was established in April 1979, and will thus celebrate the 30th anniversary of its foundation next year. KOMMA is consisted of 160 member companies which cover 80% of total machine tool production as of July, 2009. KOMMA does pursue creation of new demand for members and abroad relationship with overseas organization to exchange information. Furthermore, KOMMA not only carries out the governmental assignment for developing manufacturing technologies but also establishes various strategies such as 'Global Vision 2020' for machine tool industry.
