National Supermarket Association of Japan (NSAJ) is a benevolent corporation that has a close relationship with the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade. It has about 410 regular members (about 7,000 supermarkets all over Japan) and about 700 supporting members (manufacturers, wholesalers and other related companies)*. Half of all supermarkets in Japan are the members of NSAJ, whose total revenue comes to 10 trillion JPY. It is the biggest food related supermarket association in Japan.
