China International Industry Fair, which originated from Shanghai International Industry Fair (SIF), began from 1999. Approved by the State Council, SIF was renamed as China International Industry Fair (CIIF) since the year 2006. From the first session of SIF occupied 15,000 sqm spaces to CIIF 2006 of 110,000 sqm spaces, CIIF had 9 year great history and successful experience. CIIF has become a better business platform for the display of advanced technology and products on industrial sector, contact of potential clients and promotion of the exhibits and brands for the exhibitors. There were 1,968 exhibitors attending CIIF 2006, and 31.2% of them were from foreign countries and regions. The show space reached 110,000 sqm, 85,000 professional visitors attended the fair.
There will be 6 specialized shows held in parallel under CIIF 2007. Industrial Automaton Show is an international exhibition for Industrial Automation Solutions, Production and Process Automation, Electrical Systems, Robotics, Industrial IT & Software and Microsystems Technology. The success of previous sessions ensures this show as one of the most attractive trade fairs on Automation field both in China and the rest Asian area, and ensures it as a better platform for professionals and specialists on this field to get together.
In 2007, Deutsche Messe AG, one of the world's leading organizers of trade fairs and exhibitions, and its Chinese subsidiary Hannover Fairs China Ltd. will joint to form a more powerful alliance with Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd. They will dedicate together to the organizing of the automation show. Industrial Automation Show is going to be held at Asia's most modernized fairground- Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from November 6 to 10, 2007.
It is expected that 450 exhibitors will attend the show and over 80,000 professional visitors will participate in, which will occupy 23,000 sqm show spaces.
