THE 2009 EVENT
5-10 October 2009. The "machine tool world exhibition" promoted by CECIMO, European Committee for the Co-operation among Machine Tool Industries, is again hosted in Milan, the busiest and, at the same time, the most fashionable among the Italian cities, which is offering an extraordinary novelty to the protagonists of the exhibition: the state-of-the-art exhibition centre fieramilano.
Record sizes, a total space usability, very advanced technological facilities, exceptional "liveableness": the new "Fiera Milano" fairground, capable of redefining the world exhibiting standards, warrants, for EMO MILANO 2009, operating conditions that are adequate to the importance and to the prestige of the event and of the enterprises that are its protagonists.
A result of the innovative project signed by Massimiliano Fuksas, the fairground has eight pavilions (two of them are two-storied).
The pavilions are practically without any pillars or structural encumbrances, in order to ensure extraordinary accessibility and visibility to all booths.
Each pavilion (covering a surface of about 37,000 sq. m), has reception desks, bars and restaurants, conference rooms and office areas.
It is possible to enter the pavilions not only from the central avenue, but also from the elevated tunnel, walking under shelter, in an air-conditioned room.

All the ways, even the most difficultly definable ones, by which the "know-how" of the sector universe can find a quite appropriate expression, are presented at EMO, making the exhibition, promoted by CECIMO, the most eagerly awaited event for the operators of the worldwide manufacturing industry.
THE WORLD OF METALWORKING
Created in 1975, EMO, which takes place every two years, testifies the evolution of the world of ''metal machining'', encouraging, by a meeting and exchange of views between manufacturers and end users, the definition of more and more advanced technical solutions.
By proposing the qualitatively highest synthesis of the solutions set up by the worldwide machine tool industry, EMO has affirmed its role as world showcase of technological innovation: a meeting occasion, alternatively hosted in Hanover and in Milan, on which the attention of the operators belonging to the whole world manufacturing industry is concentrated.
INDEX OF PRODUCTS
By its technological repertoire of products, EMO MILANO 2009 is proposing itself as the expression of the universe that plans and produces innovation.
Its exhibition pavilions will be a suitable showcase for all ''machines (and not only) to make'' new products with higher technological contents and higher competitiveness.
On the other hand, the flexibility offered by the structures of the cutting-edge fair complex will be well used by EMO MILANO 2009 to enhance the high level of technological integration attained through the evolution of the machine tool industry.
Indeed, nowadays, the most advanced offer of the sector is represented by machines and systems based on a functional modularity, adaptable to production changes, more easily and more rapidly than the classical working units.
Not casually, the peculiar techniques to metal forming, metal cutting and automation are more and more often summed up in one single production process, carried out by ''hybrid machines'', the new frontier of the most dynamic among the industrial sectors.
